Studio 3 just released a cool illustrated book about typography. It looks like an entertaining way to learn about typography, although the illustrations make it look a bit too childish to my taste. Anyway, you can browse the book online and buy it here if you like it.

Hoefler & Frere-Jones recently published an article that gives some good explanations on how to combine fonts. Their approach is very interesting to me, what I like about it is that they don’t only look at the technical specifities of the typefaces, but also look at what they express.
