New fonts of the week
Every day new fonts are released, let’s take a look at some of the best fonts published in the past seven days.
The Woods is a bold new display font family with 4 styles, each style has a great design feel to it and looks hand crafted.
Surf and Turf
Surf and Turf JNL was redrawn from hand-lettering on a souvenir folder for an event believed to be sponsored by Miami Beach’s exclusive Surf Club on March 19, 1938.
Liturgisch was created by Otto Hupp for Klingspor foundry in 1906. The basis of this font is a publication in the magazine “Das Plakat” of October 1921. The font contains contextual alternates, ligatures, discretional ligatures for use in German, ornamental bullets and other OpenType features.
Chamfer Serif JNL
A set of vintage wood type printing blocks yielded the alphabet which was to become Chamfer Serif JNL. With its heavy vertical serifs and interesting character shapes, the design is unique when compared to the more familiar wood type offerings of the past.
