As many companies do, Swiss watch-maker Swatch had a custom typeface developped for corporate identity purpose. The initial typeface was designed in 2010 by NORM, a Swiss studio specialized in the creation of custom corporate fonts.

Since then, it has been used all over the world where Swatch has established a presence. Among these places, there were obviously some countries where the majority were Arab speakers. The font had to be adapted and designed to stay on track for Arabic script.

This task was delegated by NORM to Pascal Zoghbi from 29Letters, a type studio based in Lebanon with a specialization in the creation of Arab scripts. You can see the result of this adaptation on this post.
